Kindergarten and first grade students watch with wonder as the spray plane backs from the hangar – getting ready to do a fly-by demonstration – during their recent visit to Tyree Ag.
After reading The Lorax by Dr. Seuss, County Extension Agent Melissa Schlegel presented each KOES K – 2 student with a tree to take home and plant.
Stan Slaughter from the KS State Dept. of Education uses some of the KOES crowd to help get his “green” message across to students in grades 3 – 6.
Doug McGraw recently shared with KOES 6th graders about his experiences helping the people of Haiti following the devastating earthquake. Mr. McGraw is the grandfather of KOES students Alex, Brett and Caitlin Gleason.
