The administration and staff of Kinsley-Offerle Elementary are proud to announce that according to KSDE guidelines, their students achieved Building-Wide Standard of Excellence status in BOTH Reading and Math on the Spring, 2010 KS Assessments. Grade level Standard of Excellence in Reading was achieved by Grades 4, 5 and 6; while grades 3, 4 and 5 achieved grade level Standard of Excellence in Math.
To achieve a Standard of Excellence award at the grade or building level, the building must make Adequate Yearly Progress in the “All Students” group; and the building must have an accredited QPA status. Other requirements include having 60% of students classified as Exceeds Standard or Above; 80% of students classified as Meets Standardsor above; and 95% as Approaches Standard or above. Overall, KOES students earned 66 Exemplary status certificates in grades 3 through 6. Students earning these certificates will be recognized at the KOES Fall Music Program on November 16.
Congratulations to the KOES students and to their teachers who all work hard throughout the school year to learn and teach the building and state standards!! Achieving these honors takes team effort!
